Comparing the real bamboo fiber distribution data with the theoretical fiber distribution data, it is found that the two are almost the same. a large number of fibers are found in the base of bamboo culm, the actual fiber distribution is consistent with the secondary gradient distribution derived the theory; in the tip of bamboo culm with less fibers than the base of culm, the actual data is consistent with the linear distribution calculated in theory.
The researchers found that bamboo naturally optimizes the distribution of fibers to give them flexural rigidity in volume. this, we can develop light high strength cylindrical composite by imitating the fiber gradient distribution of bamboo. In recent years, bionics, which simulates the living conditions of animals plants, has solved many problems in the development of new materials.
